Hudson Valley Center for Veteran Reintegration (HVCVR)
The Hudson Valley Center for Veteran Reintegration (HVCVR) Peer support line provides resources, a connection to the surrounding community, as well as a friendly ear. Combating the daily challenges that may become barriers is not an easy step for many of us. Our non-crisis phone line with video option is operated by Veterans who have been through challenges and overcame many of these obstacles. HVCVR Peer Support Volunteers offer a non-judgmental environment that allows each caller to openly discuss their concerns. Peer Support Volunteers will listen and properly refer each caller to resources that can help provide important information.
Video Conference: If you would like to engage with one of our specialists directly, please go to https://hvcvr.org/peer-support-line/, fill out the inquiry form and check the “I would like to schedule a video conference link”. We will arrange a secure and encrypted conference.
Make the Connection (MTC)
Launched in 2011, MakeTheConnection.net connects Veterans, their family members and friends, and other supporters with mental health information, local resources, and Veterans’ own inspiring stories of recovery. Visitors can learn about the signs of mental health conditions or substance use problems and find sources of support. The site is free and accessible to everyone.
